On-Page SEOUse On-Page SEO: Using your keywords when editing your content.

What is a Keyword and how do you use it in On-Page SEO? A keyword is generally a word or phrase that relates to the topic of your website, page or post. When some one searches for more information on a topic or product in a search engine they use keywords as a way to identify and verbalize what they’re looking for. Using On-Page SEO, website owners create content around relevant topics to their business or interests which helps them rank well and be found.

When editing a page or post for On-Page SEO follow these rules:

  1. Your keyword must appear in the title.
  2. It must appear in the URL.
  3. Use your Keyword in your first paragraph and in the last sentence of the page.
  4. To optimize your keyword, make sure that it has a nice keyword density of 3-5% in your article with relevant LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing).
  5. Spread all H1,H2,H3 tags in your article using Keywords where it makes sense.
  6. Use your Keyword in your first paragraph and in the last sentence of the page.
  7. Also have relevant usage of Bold and italics of your keyword.
  8. There should be one internal link to a page on your blog and you should have one image with an alt tag that has your keyword.

So when you are in edit mode or creating a new page, remember to keep your On-Page SEO in mind!
